“We are now home and the grands are still talking about their week in OBX in your fun house. It was truly a great week and the children had such a good time playing Marco Polo in the pool, kayacking, feeding the turtles, listening to the frogs at night, trying to sink some on the putting green, crabbing on the beach at night, and playing fooz ball. Charlie, age 5, said he didn't want to leave . The upstairs room was dubbed the kids club house where adults could only enter if we paid a fee. “What a delightful surprise when we arrived last Sunday to this beautiful ‘Sea Chalet’. We enjoyed every nook and cranny and loved the Pool, the hot tub, the pool room and the loft where we had surprise children’s face painting for our 4th of July party watching the fireworks over the lake. The kayaking was so cool. The ocean and beach were terrific. Weather was great, only one rainy day. Would come back here again anytime.” —July

“We recently stayed at the Sea Chalet in Corolla, NC and immediately fell in love with this amazing home! We could not have asked for nicer, more comfortable accommodations for our weeklong vacation to the Outer Banks. The 6-bedroom house was immaculate and could not have been more than a couple years old. Its has a pool, spa, putting green, pool table, barbeque, internet, and a 4th-story loft accessed by a dramatic spiral staircase, the house was truly impressive and offered lots of activities to keep busy. Huge vaulted ceilings and oversized windows made the living area extremely bright. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for cooking, as well as a large kitchen table – perfect for big family groups. With a tasteful décor and comfortable furniture and beds, we immediately felt at home. One thing to keep in mind is that linens are not provided.
The location of the house could not have been better. Only feet from a beautiful lake and a 5-minute walk from the beach, the views from the second and third-floor decks are incredible. There is also a trail around the lake for running, and tennis courts and a community pool are a short walk from the house. Two grocery stores are located about a mile away.
The owners were also extremely friendly and accessible, and went out of their way to make sure everything was in order for our trip. On the first night, they even called to see that we had made it to the house without any problems. Overall, I would not hesitate for a minute in recommending this home to a friend. The experience was so positive that I’m sure we’ll stay at this property again in the future. If you’re looking for the perfect vacation house in the Outer Banks, you will have no regrets with the Sea Chalet!” - March |

Timbuck II ideas: Mike Dianna's Grill Room (Upscale, in back by racetrack). Route 12-good bbq sandwich at lunch Take-out seafood to cook at home next to the putt-putt. Bad Bean Taqueria is fresh (Santa Fe style) and family friendly. Open off season too. A favorite Bacchus wine and cheese—good sandwiches. Open off season. Fun martini bar—good food too—Tapas style food, can’t recall the name. Might be Martinis close to Harris teeter area. Duck area: Red Sky Cafe Drinks at Sunset: Fishbones Sunset Grille on Rt 12 (can also rent wave runners here) Atmosphere is nice, food is OK Elegant Diner: Sanderling Inn (Amazing Spa Services) Currituck Golf Club grille room. Golf course is open to the public (Clubhouse/Pro Shop 252-453-9400)
